My mother: “Don’t buy any Christmas gift wrap this year, I have plenty. In fact, don’t ever buy any Christmas gift wrap - I have enough to last the rest of my life. And probably yours….don’t worry, I’ll leave it for you in my will.” 

Me: “Gee, thanks, Mom. So thoughtful of you.”
